Despite the sirens claiming a tornado warning at the end, it was actually just a monthly test. This was recorded from within the city limits of Brandon, only a few hundred yards from a Federal Signal 2001-SRNB, but Brandon decided not to test their sirens today, most likely due to the weather. Within 100 feet from the base of the pole. Easily the closet I've been to a siren when going off. Starting this Spring, Katy officially sounds their four 40V2Ts in alert for 30 seconds during testing. The 40V2T in north Katy by the water tower has been replaced by a brand new 40V2T (in white) earlier this week.
